Travel Grants and Excursion support

Master travel grants

SNSS offers grants to Master students who want to join neutron scattering beamtimes. The amount paid out will be adjusted according to the travel plans.

To apply for the grant, please submit a maximum two-page document, specifying the following:

• Your name, University, academic supervisor, degree you are studying towards
• Explain in a short text the topic and scientific background of the beamtime you want to join
• Explain how joining the beamtime would help your studies and future scientific career
• Estimate the total travel cost

Excursion grants

The SNSS supports neutron themed courses and schools in Sweden to undertake excursions to neutron sources. We believe this is a useful support for the education in Sweden in the field and it will enable students to get a better insight into practical aspects of neutron scattering.
